MEET THE DRAGON STAFF -- ARIANNA SESSUMS

ARIANNA SESSUMS teaches Pre-K at Dawson ISD.  She was a substitute and also did her college observations at Dawson last year, but this is her first year to teach.  She is from a small town in South Texas called Edcouch, but she moved to Welch her junior year of high school and graduated from Dawson High School.  She went on to attend South Plains College  and got her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, and is now in the process of attending Western Governor’s University to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  Arianna is married to her high school sweetheart who also graduated from Dawson ISD.  They live in Brownfield with their beautiful boys, Jack and Grayson, and their dog Cowbell.  She loves working with kids because they always have something funny to say that just brightens her day.  She also loves seeing their faces of accomplishment when they take on new tasks and complete them with confidence.  The thing Arianna is most excited about this year is watching her students grow and develop new skills.  In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family outdoors, especially in the mountains.  She will be the first person in her family to earn a college degree and also the first teacher in her family.  Arianna is a Jesus lover and wholeheartedly believes that teaching is what God called her to do.  Dawson ISD is so fortunate to have ARIANNA SESSUMS as part of the Dragon Staff!
